Mokil Atoll native flies home for OCD

Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) Maj. Kentaro Hirai, 401st Tactical Airlift Squadron pilot, flies a JASDF C-130H Hercules during Operation Christmas Drop 2023 (OCD 23) above the Federated States of Micronesia, Dec. 6, 2023. OCD is the Department of Defense’s longest-running humanitarian airlift operation which consists of packaging and delivering donated supplies such as food, fishing equipment, school books and clothing to more than 20,000 islanders across 58 remote islands throughout the Pacific.
