374 OSS Changes Command

Lt. Col. Scott Branco (right), 374th Operational Support Squadron commander, Lt. Col. Sean Powers (middle), former 374th OSS commander, and Col. Jun Oh (left), 374th Operations Group commander, stand on stage at a change of command ceremony at Yokota Air Base, Japan, June 2, 2023. Branco assumed command of the 374th Operational Support Squadron from Powers. The change of command ceremony is a tradition dating back to the Roman era, where military leaders would pass batons, colors, standards, or ensigns that symbolized the passing of command to subordinates in attendance, and ensured unit members were never without official leadership or a continuation of trust.
