A Musashi Murayama taiko troupe plays to a crowd of Deedara Festival attendees at Musashi Murayama City, Japan, Nov 12, 2022. The troupe, or “kumi-daiko,” plays large drums made out of barrels or tree trunks with cowhide covers. The musicians beat the drums in unison to produce loud, reverberating beats that were historically used in battle and religious practices. Yokota leadership attended the festival opening to demonstrate the 374th AW commitment to enhancing the relationship between Yokota Air Base and the local communities. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech.
