King organizes and directs the monthly Yokota Farmers Market from spring through fall, which garners an average of 800 customers per event. He was integral in creating and sustaining this program which integrates local Japanese farmers and craftsmen to bring fresh produce and cultural exchange to the Yokota community.

The first Yokota Farmers Market started in late fall of 2022, but this spring, King was instrumental in pairing the Yokota Farmers Market with the base’s annual Sakura Festival, an open house for members of the local national community. This event alone saw over 8,900 visitors and epitomized the 374th AW partnership and community priorities.
