Heavy Weapons Qualification

U.S. Air Force 35th Security Forces Squadron (SFS) combat arms instructors taught a heavy weapons qualification to Airmen from the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Flight and 35th SFS at Draughon Range, near Misawa Air Base, Japan, June 18, 2024. Security Forces members qualified on the M249 light machine gun, while the EOD Flight qualified on the M320A1 grenade launcher. The heavy weapons qualification enhances our Airmen’s capabilities of base defense, rapid responses, wartime operations, and deterrence against adversaries.
