The art of baking: bringing back a taste of home

Barry Oxendine, Yokota High School culinary arts teacher, places cookies onto trays in preparation for the base’s annual Yokota Cookie Crunch at the Yokota High School located at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Dec. 8, 2022. Oxendine, with the help of his students, oversaw the baking of more than 3,500 cookies for the event to ensure service members living in the dormitories at Yokota Air Base receive treats for the holidays.
