Members of Air Defense Command visited the 319th Operations Group Det. 1, for a U.S. Air Force Global Hawk subject matter expert exchange at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Sept. 22, 2021. During the visit, the Koku Jieitai were briefed on maintenance processes and equipment, aircraft command and control link capabilities and witnessed an aircraft takeoff. The Global Hawk's mission is to support a broad spectrum of U.S. intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) collection capabilities for joint combatant forces in worldwide peacetime, contingency and crisis operations.
