Members of Fifth Air Force and Air Defense Command visited the 319th Operations Group Det. 1, as part of an U.S. Air Force Global Hawk subject matter expert exchange Sept. 22, 2021 at Yokota Air Base, Japan. During the visit, the Koku Jieitai were briefed on maintenance processes and equipment, aircraft operations, and aircraft command and control link capabilities. The Global Hawk's mission is to support a broad spectrum of U.S. intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) collection capabilities for joint combatant forces in worldwide peacetime, contingency and crisis operations.
