Chief Master Sergeant SHAUN E. CAMPBELL

Chief Master Sergeant Shaun E. Campbell is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Fifth Air Force, Yokota Air Base, Japan. He is responsible to the commander for the operational utilization, readiness, assignment, morale and welfare of 15,000 combat ready personnel across three main operating bases, delivering combat airpower, command and control, personnel recovery, surveillance and rapid mobility. This is accomplished through F-15, F-16, KC-135, HH-60, E-3, C-130J and DV lift mission design system platforms. CMSgt Campbell also provides senior enlisted leadership and oversight as Fifth Air Force conducts joint and bilateral planning and interoperability engagements to defend Japan and rapidly respond to regional contingencies, advancing the U.S.-Japan Security Alliance. Additionally, Fifth Air Force executes administrative authority over all U.S. Air Force forces in Japan.

Chief Campbell grew up in Atlantic City NJ, entered the Air Force in November 2000 as a Munitions Systems specialist before retraining to become a Chinese Language Analyst. Chief Campbell has been stationed at locations in the United Kingdom, Florida, California, Hawaii, Maryland, Nebraska, and the Pentagon. He also deployed in
support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

In his previous role, Chief Campbell served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Arlington, Virginia.
